Shri R.K. Gupta, President – Vibgyor Marvels, Former President – India Water Partnership, and Former Chairman-cum-Managing Director, WAPCOS & NPCC under the aegis of the Ministry of Jal Shakti has over 40 years of experience in ensuring and successfully accomplishing Consultancy and Engineering projects in India and Abroad. In his different capacities for the last 40+ years in public service with about 12 years as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of WAPCOS & its subsidiary NPCC, Shri Gupta spearheaded Strategic Planning, Marketing/Business Development, Brand Building, Human Resource Management, Financial Management and Projects Implementation. He ushered an enabling environment to remain a step ahead of competitors by venturing into new markets, technology and diversified services. Shri Gupta’s focused approach and rich experience enabled Indian technocrats to earn recognition, nationally and internationally, for professional project management approach and delivery expertise. Shri Gupta has experience of management of over 1,000+ Projects, with a value of about Rs.20,000 crore (over USD 2.5 billion) annually, from early-stage conceptualization to commissioning in diverse fields including water resources, power, infrastructure development, remodeling of ancient religious pilgrimage venues of India, skill development, institutional building, and other projects of national and international Importance funded by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank and Government of India Grants & Lines of Credit. These infrastructure Projects have played an important role in India’s development and promoted its bilateral ties with friendly developing nations in SAARC, Africa, Central & South East Asia and the Pacific Islands. A Gold Medalist, civil engineering alumni of the prestigious Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra, Shri Gupta completed his post-graduation in Engineering (Structures, Civil) from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management. He has acquired specialized managerial and technical training in India & abroad and has contributed several articles and presented more than 40 Technical Papers at various International events, and for National Journals & Symposiums.
