Shateeaum Sewpaul currently leads Harel Mallac Technologies Ltd, a Leading Regional Technology Integrator in Mauritius & Africa.
Shateeaum is an MBA holder from Herriot Watt University. He was awarded CIO of the year 2019 by the British Computer Society (BCS) for the Mauritius Section. He started his career in ICT in 1996 with Harel Mallac holding different Senior Management positions until 2001 before joining a leading South African IT Brand (Distributor) as General Manager. Shateeaum came back to Harel Mallac in 2004 and was appointed General Manager of Harel Mallac Technologies in April 2016, expanding further into Africa as a Key Technology Integrator with a broad spectrum of leading-edge technologies & expertise in the process.
Several major projects at national & regional levels serve as milestone achievements in Shateeaum’ s career. He has numerous times contributed & been recognised in various forums, locally & internationally, on new & emerging technologies like AI, FinTech and IoT. His thoughts & views as a Business Leader in the industry are often sought by business media & academia.
