Company Profile
In 1957, Mohanlal Mutha took the group’s first small steps in trading. Its growth has been tall ever since. It spent a few years manufacturing stainless steel utensils, succeeded by a pipe fitting factory in Jhalandar. Eight years on, it had come to understand that its way forward would be through imports and exports.
In 1978, it made its first import transaction, setting in motion the years of international trade that have followed. In 1985, Mohan Mutha Exports exported its first shipment to France, battling the odds of a communication channel that was only as strong as the postal system. The following year, the business landed the shores of Maldives. It's presence in the island nation has been strong ever since. From there on, it's been a matter of building on its each successful mission to concrete its position as a leading Indian Export House.
In 2004, the group made a vital investment towards its own shipping and logistics wing. Its export and import acumen now backed by a dedicated transport division have helped fill the pages of its history with stories of contented customers and commendable growth.
In 2007, the group diversified into real estate development to form Mohan Mutha Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd. with the vision of providing the best to its customers with maintaining the highest quality standards, proficient work ethics and supreme customer service. The Company has several projects under its belt ranging from Residential, Commercial & Warehousing.
In 2013, Mohan Mutha Polytech Pvt. Ltd. came into existence, which is into manufacturing and supplying of extensive range of state of art packaging solutions. These high quality laminates are manufactured at the state-of-the-art facility located in the outskirts of Chennai. The factory is equipped with high speed European machines to manufacture packaging material for various industries like Snack Foods, Edible Oil, Confectionary, Cosmetics, Agriculture and Pharmaceutical.
In 2016, the group with the intention of penetrating further into Infrastructure sector, registered a new company Mega Infra Projects Private Limited in Republic of Maldives. The company offers complete Turnkey construction services such as Residential, Commercial and Industrial development. Additionally the company is also involved with Infrastructure development associated with Roads, Bridges and Airport facilities and Marine related works like developing new ports, reclamations, dredging, revetment, jetty and sheet piling work to name a few.
