George has built a reputation as one of regions outstanding Business Executive with a proven track record of creating and leading new business for top-notch multinational companies in emerging markets with over fifteen-year career in the corporate sector. He is a strong commercial leader, who is currently serving as the Head of Group Business Development at Sterling and Wilson, Associates of Shapoorji Pallonji, based in Nairobi. An engineer by training, he holds an MBA in Strategic Management and has a passion for leadership and community impact which has seen him serve on several boards that drive this agenda. He is a Founding Life Member of the Association of Energy Professional Eastern Africa (AEPEA), Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK), Engineer Registration Board of Kenya (ERB), Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) and International Association of Engineers (IAEng) Proud father of two boys, he enjoys taking on tough business challenges – influencing large-scale transformations and driving businesses to the next level. Sterling & Wilson was formed in 1927 as Wilson Electric Works and subsequently became Sterling & Wilson in 1971 when the Shapoorji Pallonji Group took a 51% stake in the company. The SP Group, owned by the Mistry family, is a well-diversified business house, with clients in over 50 countries, delivering complex and challenging projects for over 150 years. The Mistry and Daruvala families have been partners in S&W for 3 generations. This partnership continues to grow from strength to strength as the 4th generations of both families have recently joined the business.
