Retired Indian Foreign Service Officer. Studied in St. Edwards School, Shimla. Passed Indian School Certificate Examinations conducted by The University of Cambridge of Local Examinations Syndicate (1977). Graduated in Commerce (Hons) from Delhi University (1977-80) & Post-Graduation in Commerce from Himachal Pradesh University (1980-82). Started off as an Accountant/Auditor in Accountants General of Himachal Pradesh from Oct.1982 to Oct.1984. Thereafter, worked in the Ministry of External Affairs from Oct.1984 to Feb.2018. Did the following foreign postings during the career : i) March 1987 to April 1990 as an Assistant, Consulate General of India, Saint Denis, Reunion Island (France) ii) September 1992 to June 1996 as an Assistant, Embassy of India, Muscat (Oman) iii) April 1999 to June 2002 as an Assistant, Embassy of India, Tripoli (Libya) iv) October 2004 to November 2007 as a Vice Consul, Consulate General of India, Vancouver (Canada) v) December 2007 to January 2011 as an Attaché, Embassy of India, Nairobi (Kenya) vi) January 2012 to April 2014 as a Second Secretary & HOC, Embassy of India, Havana(Cuba) vii) May 2014 to February 2018 as a First Secretary & HOC Embassy of India, Bratislava (Slovakia). BEML has overseas offices in Indonesia and Brazil. BEML is in the process of augmenting its distributor network. BEML has dealers operating in Syria, Angola, Tunisia, Ghana, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Myanmar, Oman and Nepal. BEML is very keen to expand its operations and enhance its volume of sales for Mining and construction equipment along with Railway and Metro opportunities and Defence range of Products. BEML is very keen to work with Governments of various African Countries directly to supply its products through Indian Line of Credit. BEML has the required competence, capacity, resources and established infrastructure to get associated with large infrastructure, mining projects as a reliable supplier of equipment.
