BHEL has power equipment Manufacturing capacity of 20,000 MW per annum including major equipment like Turbines, Generators, Boilers, Transformers, Controls, Solar Photovoltaic Modules etc. Till date, BHEL has installed power equipment around 183 GW worldwide. In India, BHEL’s supplied power plan equipment contributes 54% of total installed power generation capacity, which testimony its valuable contribution towards nation building. In the overseas market, BHEL has till date contracted power equipment aggregating approximately 17,000 MW out of which approximately 1935 MW is in African countries. Worldwide, BHEL has footprints in 83 countries and in Africa specifically, BHEL has contracted Gas based projects in Libya, Thermal projects in Sudan, Senegal, Ethiopia, Egypt and Hydro projects in Rwanda, D. R. Congo. In Solar Photovoltaic area, BHEL’s Solar Cell Manufacturing Capacity and Module Manufacturing Capacity stands at 105 MW and 226 MW respectively. BHEL has already executed 370 MW of Solar PV Plant and further 210 MW are under execution, taking total our Solar PV Portfolio to 580 MW.
