Personal Profile
Presently working as General Manager in India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) which is a State owned FI to provide long term finance to infrastructure projects in India in broad sectors like transportation, energy, water, sanitation, communication, social and commercial infrastructure, through Direct Lending, Subordinate Debt, Takeout Finance and Credit Enhancement. IIFCL accords overriding priority to Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Projects. Before that I was working as the Chief Executive of Export-Import Bank of India (India Exim Bank), London branch for 3 years, covering business in Europe, Africa, and India. I also concurrently represented Govt. of India as Adviser (under Portugal/Greece/San Marino/India Constituency) in the Board of Directors in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), London. Prior to coming to London, I worked in the Corporate Banking Group of India Exim Bank’s Kolkata & Mumbai office for 8 years. Before joining the India Exim Bank, I spent 2 decades in the State Bank of India (SBI), the biggest commercial Bank in India in various capacities including a stint in Project Finance SBU(Mumbai), London and Paris branch.
