Personal Profile
Rituparna Banerjee has over 16 years of broad range of technical and management experience and in her past roles. She has worked with various government departments and flagship missions. She has designed and implemented activities aimed at empowerment and financial inclusion of poor and marginalized communities. She has developed strategies for social and economic reproduction, training for work and life, participatory processes, citizen participation, governance, development of local capacities at various levels like community, local governments etc, and articulation of efforts in partnership with multiple agencies like UNDP India, World Bank, DFID, CARE India at the national level among others. She has served as a national resource person for various institutions in India, to provide guidance on participatory approach towards inclusive development, gender development, implementation of Street Vendors Act, 2014 etc. She has also worked extensively in remote pockets of India and led numerous large scale innovative social development initiatives in Livelihood, Nutrition and Health, Education and Women Empowerment. She has a Bachelor's degree in English and post graduate degree in Development Studies with specialization in Public Policy and Development Communication.
