Woody’s career began in LED lighting in the 1990s. After completing an arena installation in Chicago in 2014, Woody conversed with the mayor about repurposing old downtown buildings into vertical farms to revitalize downtown areas and to provide inner-cities with fresh nutritional foods. This prompted a broader conversation about how to take this technology and scale it for global-use, sparking the concept for VERTAAG.
