Recipient of the Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship for the Global Leadership Program 2011 at Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. Postgraduate diploma in financial management and Risk management and project appraisal certification from Duke University/IICM.
Currently, working as General Manager (Excavation), in Opencast division, at CMPDI with over 34 years of experience, providing technical support (mine planning and design) to CIL and the Ministry of Coal on formulating guidelines, vision document, background papers for policy framework, conducting techno-economic studies, technology and equipment selection, and economic valuation of coal blocks for allocation.
Involved in Feasibility and viability studies including detailed mine planning and design of over 40 mega coal projects of CIL, state/central PSUs and private companies. Executed overseas assignments in Mozambique and Tanzania. Also leads the Geotechnical cell in CMPDI.
