Personal Profile
Dr. Henry Anim-Somuah is a consultant and brand ambassador for CASE IH Agriculture. He is an agricultural engineer and agribusiness development expert with over 30 years’ experience in commercial agriculture with both organised smallholders and large-scale farmers. Dr. Anim-Somuah taught at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at the University of Ghana, Legon. Henry has worked extensively in developing business models for agribusinesses to improve productivity and enhance the competitiveness of smallholders and link them to structured markets. He has also developed investment plans and business strategies for African countries to modernise and transform their agri-food sector. Henry has a wealth of experience in large-scale farming, international trade, agricultural machinery and equipment sourcing. Dr. Anim-Somuah is a consultant and has led and participated in a number of missions for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the African Development Bank (AfDB). Henry holds a PhD in Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics (FARE) from the University of Guelph, Ontario Canada, an MPhil in Agricultural Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon and BSc. (Hons) Agricultural Engineering from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. Henry is married with three children. He plays hockey and enjoys cross-country driving.
