Personal Profile
I am Deputy Director responsible for Asia, Australia and the Pacific in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi tasked with enhancing cooperation between Malawi on one hand and the countries and international organizations of Asia, Australia and the Pacific on the other. As such, I facilitate cooperation between Malawi and India in areas of development, trade and investment, capacity building and technical assistance. In this regard, the CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India-Africa Growth Partnership is one of the mechanisms to promote cooperation between Malawi and India in the fields of finance, trade and investment. In this respect, I liaise with the line Ministries to ensure that Malawi benefits from its cooperation with India under the framework of the CII-EXIM Bank Conclave. Besides, I also coordinate the implementation of Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed between Malawi and India in areas of agriculture, health and medicines, trade, industry, mining, local government, extradition, diplomatic and political consultations, among others.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi is in charge of promoting, facilitating and coordinating bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Malawi on one hand and its bilateral and multilateral partners on the other. In this regard, the Government of the Republic of India is one of the strategic partners of the Government of the Republic of Malawi. In this connection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi make full use of the CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India-Africa Growth Partnership as a means of facilitating cooperation between Malawi and India in the areas of finance, trade and investment. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi works very closely with the relevant authorities in order to ensure that Malawi meaningfully benefits from its relations with the Government of the Republic of India. Apart from the CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India-Africa Growth Partnership, the Government of the Republic of Malawi coordinates the implementation of the Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed between the two countries in the areas of agriculture and allied sectors, mineral resources, health and medicines, trade, small scale industry, local government, extradition, consular, diplomatic and political consultations. In summary, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi is the window or entry point for diplomatic engagements with international partners.
