ECOWAS Commissioner in charge of Industry and Private Sector Promotion, Commissioner Mamadou TRAORE previously occupied the position of Commissioner for Macro-economic policy and Economic Research and assured the Interim of the Department of Education, Science and Culture at the ECOWAS Commission. During his tenure, he facilitated the adoption of key ECOWAS Policy documents that will enhance the ECOWAS Regional Integration Agenda
He was also the former Secretary General in various Ministries in Mali from 2007 to 2016 among which the Ministry of Mines, Economy, Industry and Trade.
Within the course of his career, Mr. TRAORE has acquired tremendous experience in mines, industrial strategies, trade policies, integration and investment.
Prior to this, Mr. Mamadou TRAORE was
- First National Coordinator of the Businesses Restructuring and Upgrading Program of Mali;
- Deputy National Director of Industry of Mali;
- Head of Standardization, Quality Promotion and Intellectual Property Division at the National Directorate of Industry of Mali.
