Personal Profile
A reliable and results-oriented Engineer with over 12 years professional experience in Engineering and management within the Public Sector. With a track record of implementing multi million dollars infrastructure projects through proper coordination, management and team work with other disciplines. We have registered achievements in realizing most of our targets set out in our National Development Plan. After a successful completion of my undergraduate and graduate studies, I continued serving my government in various capacities and projects. One of the notable projects I participated was the construction of our National Assembly Building which was funded by the Government of India through a twenty-seven million dollars loan facility. The importance of this edifice cannot be over-emphasized as it provides accommodation for our third arm of Government (Legislature). Another project is the fifty million dollar grant by the Chinese Government for the construction of a state-of the art International Conference Center. To further enhance my knowledge, I was fortunate to be seconded to a special project office in 2018 tasked with the mandate to mobilize resources for the implementation of some key portfolio of projects. As the Project Manager, some of my duties included development of project proposals for resource mobilization in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance. During the course of that period, my understanding of donor project financing and resource mobilization were greatly enhanced. Together as a team, approximately three hundred million dollars was mobilized for the implementation of the key priority projects. These projects are on-going and when completed will yield positive results towards our infrastructure and boost the economic outlook in those areas. As a Public Servant, I have developed knowledge in Public Administration and policy development. Currently, after completing the resource mobilization of the required funds for the OIC Projects and completed the procurement processes, I was re-deployed to the Ministry of Transport in the last quarter of 2022 and promoted to the position of Deputy Permanent Secretary. My role amongst others includes advising the Permanent Secretary all matters relating to Policy and technical issues.
