Mr. Eddison Mensah Agbenyegah is a career diplomat - Minister Plenipotentiary, Head of Chancery and Deputy Head of Mission at the Ghana High Commission, New Delhi, India. He is well travelled. His previous diplomatic engagements were with the Ghana Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil from 2003 to 2007 and the Ghana High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria from 2009 to 2013.
Prior to his assumption of duty in India in October 2016, he was the Deputy Director of State Protocol at the Office of the President of the Republic of Ghana, State House - Accra. He was also the Ghana National Focal Point for the ECOWAS Early Warning and Response Network (ECOWARN) from 2013 to 2015.
Mr. Agbenyegah holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon – Accra in 1997; Master of Arts (MA) in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD), Accra in 2003 and Master of Arts (MA) in Conflict, Peace and Security from the prestigious Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), Accra, Ghana in 2016.
Mr. Agbenyegah also undertook several short courses including an Advanced Negotiations Skills Training Course, Organized by the Legon Centre for International Affairs & Diplomacy (LECIAD) and the ECOWAS Commission in 2013; a Course on Regional Integration in Africa at the United Nations African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP), Dakar, Senegal in 2014; UNITAR Regional Training Programme on Conflict Prevention and Peace-making in Africa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2015 and the Seventh Winter Course on International Maritime Law by the Indian Society of International Law (ISIL), New Delhi, India in December 2017.
His hobbies include browsing of the internet and jogging.
He is married to Madam Vera Fakor Alomatu with three children.
