Dr. Donkor is a forward-thinking and results-oriented Lawyer, Banker and Marketing Consultant with over twenty-five (25) years’ experience in senior management capacities in various disciplines such as: Finance, Strategic Management, Marketing, Legal, Compliance and Administration. With several years of internationally recognised credentials across Europe, America, Asia and Africa, Dr. Donkor is reputed as an experienced and successful leader with a record of accomplishments in producing, presenting and managing implementation of innovative business and administrative solutions. Proactive and highly self-motivated in converting opportunities into success and driving profit and growth, Dr. Donkor possesses hands-on experience in innovation, organisational design, development and improvement.
He is well-networked and highly successful in implementing business process improvements, defining company’s direction, achieving goals on time, and optimising business procedures. As a veteran in the field of corporate sustainability reporting, Dr. Donkor has outstanding skills in strategic management and leadership, change management and policy formulation. A very strong leader with excellent written and oral communication skills, he possesses a unique gift in leading large diverse teams from multi-cultural environment.
He holds two doctorate degrees, two master’s degrees, from both Ghana and Europe. He is currently the President (CEO) of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID), a regional financial institution owned by the fifteen West African countries. Dr. Donkor serves on a number of boards.
ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) is the financial arm of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Its main objective is to contribute towards the economic development of West Africa through the financing of ECOWAS projects and programs, relating to transport, energy, telecommunications, industry, poverty alleviation, environment and natural resources.
