Mr. Anil Pant joined BEL in May1988 at Bangalore as a Probationary Engineer, was posted to Ghaziabad Unit in October 1988. He was initially posted to Quality Assurance in communication Division where he contributed in the development of inspection Jigs for wiring and PCBs. Next, he moved to Automated Test equipment (ATE) group where he developed test programs on functional tester. He worked in ATE for about two years. He was given task to develop test jigs for components in IGQA department. He was moved to INDRA-II radar as testing engineer. While in testing he had an opportunity to go for a training program on software for reporter Radar. Then he was moved to Design and Development department in Network Centric System (NCS). In NCS he designed, developed and installed first phase of Integrated Command and control system (IACCS). IACCS which was a multi tender project, ab-initio was converted into a Single tender in subsequent stages due to exceptional work done by BEL engineers under his leadership. He had the rare distinction of getting “Innovation Award”- three times, “R&D award”- two times and Raksha Mantri award in 2016. He visited Israel for AWACS and EYESHADOW program to be integrated with IACCS project. Mr. Anil Pant was transferred to National Marketing Delhi in Oct 2016. He headed Civil Marketing segment and Business Development. During this tenure, Civil Marketing and Business Development from Oct 2016 to Jan 2019 the order book position improved from 1300Cr. to 2900Cr. In civil marketing he established real time lead management system on SAP which is a very effective tool for providing consistent, accurate and concurrent information/status of RFI, RFP and other related information to all the stake holders as per mandated information access. Mr. Anil Pant took over as GM (International Marketing)/BEL-Corporate Office, on February 1, 2019. Mr. Anil Pant was born on Oct.17, 1964, in Delhi. He completed his degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Delhi in 1987 and his Diploma in management from IGNOU. He brings a very vast experience ranging from quality control in manufacturing to solution design in research and development.
