Joined Indian railways in January 1991 and have gained an experience of 28 years including international experience of 7 years in the field of Construction and Maintenance of Railway Track, Bridges & structures, Station Buildings, Railway Colonies & utility services while being serving different prestigious posts for the Indian Railways. These years of my service has helped me hone my skills to handle larger issues like safety of passengers, Human Resources, deployment of Machines, Timely and Effective Completion of Project, Planning & Budgeting, Use of Innovative technology, Working on PPP Model, Joint Ventures and Consortium etc.
Worked as Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) in three Divisions of ECR and brought the Engineering shields to the Division for best working among the other divisions of ECR.
Have been conferred General Manger’s Award three times and Prestigious Minister of Railways Award in 2012 for outstanding work.
I was seconded by RITES to CFM, Mozambique as Works Manager at Beira to Rehabilitate the Sena Line between Dondo and Moatize where the first block section of 30 km between Dondo and Savane was completed in Six Months using fresh and inexperienced Department Labour & Supervisors.
Have been on deputation in IRCON since June 2012 as Chief General Manager, have been able to earn valuable experiences of various construction works with international collaboration. Have dealt with Design & Build contract (EPC) of Western Corridor of DFCCIL where we worked as Consortium partner with Mitsui (Japan) & Tata projects and we secured three packages from Surat to JNPT (Mumbai). Have Co-ordinated the projects of “2nd Bhairab Rail Bridge of 1km length over river Meghna in Bangladesh” and ensured its completion within 3 Years; “New Rail Line construction of 65 km between Khulana- Mongla in Bangladesh” and “New Rail Line between Akhaura (Bangladesh)-Agartala(India) under ‘Grant from India’.”
Presently, holding the portfolio of Executive Director/Works since March 2019. Earlier, as a CGM/Business Development- I, sought for bringing business to IRCON in India and abroad through competitive bidding on its strength or in the form of JV / Consortium, Nomination basis, Buyer’s Credit of EXIM Bank.
Ircon International Limited (formerly known as Indian Railway Construction Company Limited), a Mini Ratna and Schedule ‘A’ PSU, was incorporated on 28th April, 1976, mainly for the purpose of construction and development of Railway Infrastructure in India and abroad with the expertise from Indian Railways. During its operation of 41 years the company has diversified and developed core competence in other areas like Highways, Tunnels, Bridges, Flyovers, ROBs, Airport Hangar & Runways, Metro rail and Buildings, EHV Transmission Line & Grid Sub-stations, Industrial Electrification, Signaling and Telecom Systems etc. Considering its major share of business from projects abroad, its name was changed to “Ircon International Limited” w.e.f. 17th October 1995.
