Responsible for providing guidance for trade related negotiations at bilateral, multilateral and at the regional levels; Promote Zimbabwe’s export of products and services and facilitating market access by strengthening bilateral, multilateral and regional trade relations and cooperation, Coordinate Zimbabwe’s membership to regional and international trading organizations and hosting of bilateral, regional and multilateral trade meetings for incoming and outgoing trade missions • Co-ordinating the participation of private companies at foreign International Trade Fairs and Exhibitions. • Extend continuous support to exporters and provide information on regional and international markets.
Functions 1. To implement Zimbabwe's foreign policy 2. Promote Zimbabwe's economic, political, social and cultural interests; 3. Ensure compliance with Continental and Regional Treaties, Agreements and protocols; 4. Provide timeous advice on foreign policy matters and implement policies in line with regional and continental integration; 5. Conduct negotiation of agreements governing political, economic, social and cultural relations with other countries; 6. Provide timeous and quality protocol and conferencing services to the Government and the Diplomatic Corps;
